The government of Maharashtra (GoM) has approved the 1.4 km Kanhan River – Kanhan Town extension under the Nagpur Metro Rail Project Phase-II. The extension is likely to entail investment of Rs 3.1 billion.
Of the total cost the State and Central government are likely to bear Rs 0.39 billion each and funds worth Rs 1.55 billion are likely to be sourced via multilateral loan agencies.
The project involves expansion of the metro network in Nagpur city in the state of Maharashtra as Phase II by 43.8 km to provide connectivity to nearby towns and villages at an estimated cost of Rs 67.08 billion.
