The construction work has officially commenced at the Central Secretariat station for the Central Vista Corridor (RK Ashram – Indraprastha) under the Delhi Metro Project Phase VA.
The Phase VA comprises three corridors spanning 16.07 km and entails investment of Rs 120.14 billion. The project comprises 13 stations (10 underground and 3 elevated). The corridors are as follows: RK Asham Marg – Indraprashta corridor spanning 9.91 km and with stations at R.K Ashram Marg, Shivaji Stadium, Central Secretariat, Kartavya Bhawan, India Gate, War Memorial – High Court, Baroda House, Bharat Mandapam, and Indraprastha; Aerocity-Indira Gandhi Airport Terminal 1 corridor spanning 2.26 km and with station at Aerocity, and Tughlakabad-Kalindi Kunj corridor spanning 3.9 km and with stations at Sarita Vihar Depot, Madanpur Khadar, and Kalindi Kunj.
