IR launches two Amrit Bharat Express trains

Indian Railways (IR) launched two new Amrit Bharat Express services to enhance long-distance connectivity across multiple states. These are:

  • Pune-Danapur Amrit Bharat Express: It was inaugurated from Hadapsar railway station on June 17, 2026. It consists of 18 Linke Hofmann Busche (LHB) coaches. The train will halt at Daund Chord Line, Ahilyanagar, Belapur, Kopargaon, Manmad, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Pipariya, Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Katni, Maihar, Satna, Manikpur, Prayagraj Chheoki, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Buxar and Ara, providing connectivity to the states of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
  • Khatipura (Jaipur)-Darbhanga Amrit Bharat Express: It was inaugurated from Khatipura railway station on June 21, 2026, providing connectivity to Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. It consists of 22 coaches, having 23 stoppages which includes Dausa, Bandikui, Mandawar Mahuwa Road, Bharatpur, Agra, Tundla, Etawah, Kanpur Central, Unnao, Aishbagh, Gomti Nagar, Barabanki, Gonda, Gorakhpur, Kaptanganj, Junction, Bagaha, Narkatiaganj Junction, Sikta, Raxaul, Bairgania, Sitamarhi Junction, Janakpur Road, and Kamtaul.
