Tunnel Boring Machine – 4 (downline) has achieved breakthrough at Rajendra Nagar station under the Patna Metro Rail Project Phase I. It was commissioned at Moin Ul Haq stadium and travelled for 681 metres till Rajendra Nagar Station. Besides, TBM-3 (Upline) is likely to achieve breakthrough at Rajendra Nagar station by end June 2026.
Phase I of the project involves the development of a 32.5 km long metro rail network in Patna state of Bihar at an estimated cost of Rs 139.25 billion. It involves the development of two corridors, viz. Corridor 1 (Danapur Cantt-Mithapur) and Corridor 2 (Patna Junction-Patna ISBT).
