Metro Railway, Kolkata proposes Chitpur-Karunamoyee Metro Rail Project

Metro Railway, Kolkata has proposed Chitpur – Karunamoyee Metro Rail Project in Kolkata.The feasibility
study and ground survey have been commenced under the project.
The project spanning 8.8 km will connect Eastern Railway’s Kolkata station in Chitpur to Karunamoyee in Salt
Lake via Khudiram Bose Road (near the Blue Line’s Sutanuti or Sovabazar station), Bagjola Canal and 6 Island
Circle or No. 6 Island along the Bagjola Canal route near Khudiram Bose Road.
