Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (UPMRC) has conducted high-speed collision avoidance test for Kanpur Central – Naubasta stretch under the Kanpur Metro Rail Phase I Project.
The trial was conducted to test the efficiency of the automated train operation (ATO) mode and the robustness of the automated braking systems to virtually eliminate human error and ensure maximum commuter safety.
The Kanpur Metro Project involves development of 33 km long metro rail system in Uttar Pradesh at an investment of Rs 110.76 billion.
