Jindal India Power Limited, part of the BC Jindal Group, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) for procurement of coal from the Naini coal mine.
Under the agreement, the company will source 0.8 million metric tonnes of coal as part of its fuel diversification strategy. The coal supply will support operations at its 1,200 MW thermal power plant at Derang in Angul district, Odisha, which comprises two 600 MW units.
