Adani Green Energy Limited, through its step-down subsidiaries, has commercially operationalised an aggregate 1,990 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) along with a 50 MW solar power project at Khavda in Gujarat.
With this commissioning, the company’s total operational renewable energy capacity has reached 19,785.8 MW, while total operational BESS capacity has increased to 3,366 MWh (3.37 GWh). The cumulative 3.37 GWh BESS capacity at Khavda is the world’s largest single-location battery storage deployment outside China and among the fastest executed globally. It includes the 1.37 GWh capacity commissioned in March 2026. The project was completed within 10 months of commencement of on-site construction.
