Indian Railways (IR) has sanctioned the Final Location Survey (FLS) for the Shalimar-Ayodhya Third Rail Line Project and approved the New Jalpaiguri-Siliguri Rail Line Doubling Project in West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh.
Shalimar-Ayodhya Third Rail Line Project involves construction of a 107 km long third railway line between Shalimar station in the state of West Bengal and Ayodhya in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
New Jalpaiguri-Siliguri Rail Doubling Project involves doubling of a 7.1 km long railway line from New Jalpaiguri station to Siliguri in the state of West Bengal.
