Indian Railways (IR) has sanctioned Rs 4.02 billion for Redevelopment of Amritsar Railway Station Project in Punjab. Moreover, Rs 1 billion will be provided for construction of five new platforms which includes two platforms to be developed on the North side and three on the South side.
Besides, IR has also planned to build advanced G+10 station building having seven commercial floors on the North side along with G+3 station building on the South side. Additionally, five more passenger loop lines will also be constructed.
The project involves redevelopment of Amritsar junction railway station in Punjab under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme (ABSS) With an investment of Rs 4.02 billion.
