Ceigall India Limited has secured two separate orders from Punjab State Power Corporation Limited for development of standalone battery energy storage system (BESS) projects in Punjab through tariff-based global competitive bidding.
The company has won 100 MW capacity at a tariff of Rs 344,000 per MW per month, with the project cost estimated at about Rs 2.5 billion. Separately, it secured 50 MW capacity at a tariff of Rs 2.99 per kWh, with an estimated project cost of about Rs 1.25 billion. The projects will be developed under long-term battery energy storage purchase agreements, with an execution timeline of 18 months. Following commissioning, the company will operate, maintain, and supply storage services for 12 years.
