About 27 hectare land near Bambla Pulia has been finalised for a metro depot under the Jaipur Metro Rail Project Phase II. The depot is likely to be completed by 2029 at an estimated cost of Rs 3 billion. Besides, Asian Development Bank is likely to grant funds worth Rs 65.65 billion under the project.
The project spans 41 km and entails investment of Rs 130.38 billion. The corridor runs from Todi Mod to Prahaladpura and has 36 stations in total (34 elevated and two underground). The project will be implemented by Rajasthan Metro Rail Corporation Limited, a 50:50 joint venture of the government of India and the government of Rajasthan.
