Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) has achieved the monetisation of the Daman Upside Development Project in the Arabian Sea on March 29, 2026, through flowing gas from Platform B-12-24P. It is located around 180 km north-west of Mumbai and around 80 km south of Pipavav in Gujarat. It has a capex of about $1 billion. The platform has reportedly been commissioned and gas has been sent to the Hazira plant. The project has been executed in under two years from the date of award, as a result of strong project execution, the innovative use of the drill-deck and strong performance by drilling and production teams. Further, the production from all wells is expected to be ramped up in a phased manner.
