Vikran Engineering Limited has commissioned its second 5 MW solar power plant at Ambijalgaon in Ahilyanagar district, Maharashtra, under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyaan (PM-KUSUM) scheme.
The project is part of the company’s 600 MW solar contract secured in December 2025. The plant is expected to generate about 10,000 MWh of clean energy annually and avoid 8,200 tonnes of CO₂ emissions per year. It will support reliable daytime power supply for irrigation pumps through the dry season and also enable productive use of underutilised land.
