MoPSW sanctions 129 projects under Sagarmala Programme

Under the Sagarmala programme, the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW) has sanctioned 129 projects worth Rs 90.54 billion with a funding of Rs 33.46 billion. Of these, 78 projects worth Rs 23.57 billion with a funding of Rs 18.01 billion by the MoPSW have been completed. A third-party evaluation by the National Productivity Council highlights improved cargo handling efficiency and operational performance. Additionally, 19 road and rail connectivity projects worth Rs 14.97 billion have been sanctioned with the financial support of Rs 3.66 billion.
