Tamil Nadu government inaugurates Kollidam-Chidambaram Combined Drinking Water Supply Scheme

The Tamil Nadu government inaugurated the Kollidam-Chidambaram Combined Drinking Water Supply Scheme on March 4, 2026. The project has been implemented by the Tamil Nadu Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department, with financial assistance under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation 2.0 and the JJM. The scope of work includes water distribution through recharge wells and the development of a distribution system involving 91.76 km of water supply lines. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 2.56 billion.
