The Government of Maharashtra (GoM) inaugurated the 4.7 km Dahisar-Kashigaon stretch under the Mumbai Metro Phase III Line 9 Project and 5.53 km Mandale – Diamond Garden stretch under the Mumbai Metro Phase I Line 2B Project on April 7, 2026.
The Line 9 Project involves development of 13.58 km metro corridor connecting Dahisar to Mira Road and Bhayander and Andheri (East) – Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) at an estimated cost of Rs 66.07 billion.
The Line 2B Project will connect DN Nagar, Andheri to Mandale and subsequently to Cheetah Nagar near Trombay, in Maharashtra spanning a length of 24.6 km.
