KMC allocates Rs 4.66 billion for water supply works in the municipal budget for FY 2027

The Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) has allocated Rs 4.66 billion for water supply works in the municipal budget for 2026-27. Further, the KMC is augmenting the capacity of the water treatment plant (WTP) in Dhapa, increasing its 30 million gallon per day (mgd) capacity by another 20 mgd. A length of about 124 km of new pipeline network is being laid to supply the water produced in the WTP.
