Kerala government sign MoUs with three central PSUs to build a logistics ecosystem around Vizhinjam International Seaport

The Kerala government has signed MoUs worth Rs 20 billion with three central PSUs to build a comprehensive logistics ecosystem around the Vizhinjam international seaport. The agreements with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), the Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) and the Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) were formalised on February 23, 2026. The plan splits the investment into three strategic components. IOCL will fund bunkering facilities (around Rs 7 billion) to fuel large vessels while CONCOR will invest Rs 6 billion in rail-linked infrastructure including inland container depots and container freight stations, and CWC will deploy approximately Rs 7 billion to develop a multimodal logistics park with cold storage and export units.
