FedEx has started work on the upcoming fully automated air cargo hub at the Navi Mumbai International Airport. The move marks a major milestone in strengthening India’s largest international trade corridor. The 300,000 square foot facility is being developed in collaboration with Adani Airport Holdings Limited and is backed by a long-term investment exceeding Rs 25 billion by FedEx. The facility will be equipped with advanced automation and scalable capacity, featuring advanced automated sorting systems, dimensional scanning, high-speed screening technology and dedicated aircraft parking bays. It is also expected to simultaneously process inbound and outbound shipments, while enhancing the flexibility of routing and prediction of transit time.
