The foundation stone for Kota airport in Rajasthan was laid on March 7, 2026, marking a major milestone for the Hadoti region. The airport, with an estimated cost of Rs 15 billion, will have a built-up area of 20,000 square metres and is expected to significantly improve regional connectivity. Once operational, the airport will handle 2 mppa. The apron will be capable of accommodating seven Code C aircraft. Other facilities will include 14 check-in counters, five X-ray baggage inspection systems, two baggage belts and three passenger boarding bridges to ensure smooth and efficient passenger movement. This development will position Kota and surrounding districts for stronger economic growth and new investment opportunities.
