Western Railway (WR) has commissioned its first greenfield Gati Shakti cargo terminal (GCT) at Gangadhara under the Mumbai Central railway division on March 30, 2026. The terminal is the fastest commissioned GCT, completed in a period of eight months by Pristine Kaneria Logistics Park Private Limited.
Further, the facility covers an area of about 44,000 square metres, and will handle commodities like steel, textiles, cement, fly ash, chemicals and fertilisers. Besides, it will meet the logistics requirements of the Surat industrial region.
