The joint venture (JV) of T & T Infra Limited and Univastu India Limited won contract worth Rs 2.3 billion for design and construction of elevated metro viaduct of length 1.123 km, two metro stations viz. Kothrud Bus Depot and Chandani Chowk, first level integrated Double Decker flyover at Kothrud Depot and connecting foot over bridge (FOB) to National Highway – Vanaz to Chandani Chowk Corridor (Line-2A) including Stabling Lines at Bhakti Shakti end of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC)-Nigdi Corridor on March 9, 2026.
As a part of the contract, Univastu holds 35 per cent share (Rs 804.93 million) and T & T holds the remaining 65 per cent share (Rs 1,494.87 million).
Bids for the same were invited by Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (Maha-Metro) in October 2025. The work is likely to be completed in 27 months.
Corridor 2A (Vanaz-Chandini Chowk) spans 1.12 km with two stations whereas corridor 2B (Ramwadi-Wagholi) spans 11.63 km with 11 station. The projects entail an investment of Rs 36.26 billion and will be equally borne by the state government, central government and external funding agencies.
