The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has begun the Phase III reconstruction of a key section of the secondary runway (19R-01L) at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata, West Bengal, on February 12, 2026. The project aims to enhance operational safety, boost efficiency and expand future airside capacity as passenger and traffic continue to grow.
