South Western Railway (SWR) has commissioned the 30.04 km long Makajipalli-Dharmavaram rail section under the Penukonda-Dharmavaram Railway Line Doubling Project.
In addition, SWR has also commissioned one Intermediate Block Hut (IBH) between Makajipalli and Nagsamudram to enhance operational efficiency and improve line capacity. With this the project stands completed.
The project involved doubling of the 41.5 km long Penukonda-Dharmavaram railway line in Andhra Pradesh. It was sanctioned in the Railway Budget 2018-19.
