Visakhapatnam Port Authority has achieved a significant milestone by handling over 80 million tonnes of cargo in just 327 days during the current financial year 2025-26, the fastest in its 92-year history.
The port crossed this benchmark on February 21, 2026, surpassing previous performances where it took 357 days in 2024-25 and 362 days in 2023-24 to reach the same mark. The performance reflects streamlined operations and the port’s growing capability to handle increasing cargo volumes.
