CSL delivers first multi-purpose vessel to Germany’s HS Schiffahrts

Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) has delivered the first HS EcoFreighter multi-purpose vessel (MPV) named MS Heinz to Germany’s HS Schiffahrts. The 7,000 deadweight tonnage MPV, designed by Groot Ship Design (Netherlands) and built at CSL, can carry a variety of cargoes, including project cargo, steel coils, containers, timber, paper and dry bulk for global trade. This delivery is the first in an order of eight vessels, each valued at around Rs 1.1 billion.
