Adani Ports report 12 per cent YoY cargo growth in January 2026

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ) reported a strong operational performance in January 2026, handling 44.8 million metric tonnes (mmt) of cargo, a 12 per cent year-on-year (YoY) increase. Growth was led by container volumes rising 16 per cent, liquid cargo up 21 per cent, and dry cargo up 8 per cent compared with January 2025. On a year-to-date basis from April to January, APSEZ’s total cargo throughput reached 412.2 mmt, a 11 per cent YoY increase, with container traffic up 18 per cent.

In rail logistics, total volumes for January were 59,308 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs), a 3 per cent increase, while General Purpose Wagon Investment Scheme (GPWIS) volumes remained flat.
