NLC India Limited has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Gujarat government for the development of renewable energy projects in the state.
The non-binding MoU was signed during the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference for the Saurashtra and Kutch region held in Rajkot. The proposed collaboration envisages the development of solar, wind, hybrid and battery energy storage projects in Gujarat with an aggregate investment potential of about Rs 250 billion. Under the MoU, the Gujarat government will facilitate statutory approvals, clearances, registrations and other regulatory support in line with prevailing state policies to enable time-bound implementation of the proposed projects. The projects are proposed to be implemented through NLC India Renewables Limited, the wholly owned renewable energy arm of NLC India.
