Indian Railways (IR) has sanctioned Rs 8.5 billion for track renewal works at two railway sections in Rajasthan. The sections include 291.12 km long Rai ka Bagh-Phalodi-Jaisalmer stretch and 73.74 km long Lalgarh-Kolayat-Phalodi stretch.
Moreover, modern rails of 60 kg and pre-stressed concrete (PSC) sleepers of 60 kg will be utilised for this purpose. This will enhance the overall operational efficiency and strength of the tracks.
