NLC India Limited has received a letter of acceptance from the National Capital Region Transport Corporation Limited (NCRTC) for the development of a 110 MW (AC) grid-connected solar photovoltaic project in Uttar Pradesh under captive mode.
The award follows the tender issued by NCRTC earlier this year. The project is intended to supply renewable power to the Delhi–Ghaziabad–Meerut Namo Bharat Corridor and is scheduled to be commissioned within the next 24 months. Upon completion, the solar plant is expected to meet nearly 60 per cent of the corridor’s total electricity requirement, supporting NCRTC’s efforts to increase the share of clean energy in its operations.
