NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has commissioned of 243.66 MW out of the planned 1,255 MW capacity under its Khavda-I solar photovoltaic project in Gujarat.
The project is being executed by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NGEL under the central public sector utility scheme phase-II, tranche-III. This milestone contributes to NTPC’s strategy of scaling up utility-scale renewables and supporting national non-fossil fuel capacity targets. With this addition, NTPC’s total installed capacity has risen to 85,503 MW, while NGEL’s group capacity has reached 7,889.335 MW.
