The Municipal Corporation of Jalandhar in Punjab has launched the android-based point of sale (PoS) machines for on-the-spot water and sewerage bill collection on December 12, 2025.
The initiative aims to improve bill collection, making the process smarter, faster, more accurate, and user-friendly compared to the previously deployed general packet radio service (GPRS)-based PoS machines.
