The Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA) has achieved a new milestone by handling 60 million tonnes (mt) of cargo in just 249 days during FY 2025-26. The port reached the same milestone in 273 days in FY 2024-25 and 275 days in FY 2023-24. The accelerated performance has boosted confidence as the port now sets its sights on handling 90 mt of cargo by year end.
VPA handled 82.62 mt in 2024-25, its highest ever annual volume with notable growth across segments such as crude oil, manganese ore, bauxite, rice and general cargo.
