BEML Limited has won contract worth Rs 4.14 billion for six additional trainsets for design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of 318 standard gauge metro cars and training of personnel upto 15 years under Package 5 RS-DM of the Bengaluru Metro Rail Phase II Project on December 3, 2025.
The project involves construction of four extensions and two new lines covering a length of 72.09 km (13.79 km underground and 58.3 km elevated), in Karnataka at an investment of Rs 406.14 billion.
