The construction work has commenced on the Bhilai Sewage Master Plan Project in Chhattisgarh.
HNB Engineers Private Limited has won the contract worth Rs 1,450 million. Bids for the same were invited by Bhilai Municipal Corporation on March 5, 2025.
The scope of work includes investigation, design, construction of interception cum diversion chambers/weirs on Samudhanala along with manual screens, grit, diversion chambers, wet well with pump house and screens, sewage treatment plant (STP) having a capacity of 150 million litres per day (mld) on sequential batch reactor (SBR) technology for secondary treatment, supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) automation and other related works including three months trial run and operation and maintenance (O&M) for 15 years.
The total cost of the project is Rs 1,895.7 million. The project is expected to be completed in two years.
