Indian Railways achieves freight loading of 1,020 mt during FY 2025-26 (till November 19, 2025)

Indian Railways (IR) has achieved a cumulative freight loading of 1,020 million tonnes (mt) during the financial year (FY) 2025-26 (till November 19, 2025).

Commodity-wise, IR registered loading of 505 mt of coal, 115 mt of iron-ore, 92 mt of cement, 74 mt of balance other goods, 59 mt of container traffic, 47 of pig iron & finished steel, 42 mt of fertilisers, 32 mt of mineral oil, 30 mt of foodgrains, and about 20 mt of raw materials for steel plants.

Besides, IR recorded daily loading of about 4.4 mt, representing enhanced operational efficiency and sustained demand over last year.
