The Ministry of Railways (MoR) has sanctioned a proposal for the Upgradation of Electric Traction System of Guntur-Pagidipalli, Motumari-Vishnupuram Rail Section Project in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Besides, the project is expected to be completed in three years.
The project involves upgradation of existing 1×25 kV electric traction system into 2×25 kV electric traction system between 337 km long Guntur–Pagidipalli, Motumari–Vishnupuram sections at an estimated cost of Rs 1.88 billion in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
