Hadapsar-Loni Kalbhor and Hadapsar Bus Depot-Saswad Road Metro Projects in Pune get approved

The government of Maharashtra approved the Hadapsar-Loni Kalbhor and Hadapsar Bus Depot- Saswad Road Metro Projects in Pune on November 4, 2025.

The projects entail an investment of Rs 57.04 billion and are likely to be implemented by Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (Maha Metro) in coordination with the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority. Besides, the Pune Municipal Corporation will be responsible for land acquisition at an estimated cost of Rs 36 million, and the central and state governments will each contribute 20 per cent of the cost. The remaining cost will be raised through loans.

The Hadapsar-Loni Kalbhor corridor will span 11.35 km with 10 stations, including Hadapsar Phata, Hadapsar Bus Depot, Akashwani-Hadapsar, Laxmi Colony, Manjari Phata, Draksha Baug, Toll Naka, Wak Vasti and Loni Kalbhor. The Hadapsar Bus Depot–Saswad Road corridor will span 5.57 km and include four stations, including Hadapsar Gliding Club, Phursungi IT Park, Sulabh Garden and Saswad Road Railway Station.
