Texmaco Rail and Engineering Limited has won contract worth Rs 446.1 million for design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of 25kV flexible overhead catenary system, associated 25kV sectioning posts, 33kV auxiliary sub-station, associated cabling and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems under the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC)-Nigdi Metro Project.
Bids for the same were invited by the Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (Maha Metro) in July 2025.
The work is likely to be completed in 110 weeks.
PCMC-Nigdi Metro Project involves extension of Corridor 1 (Pimpri-Chinchwad-Swargate) of the Pune Metro Rail Project – Phase I from PCMC to Nigdi. The 4.41 km long elevated metro corridor will have three elevated stations. It is being implemented by Maha Metro at an estimated cost of Rs 9.1 billion.
