The central government and the government of Maharashtra have prepared a detailed infrastructure development plan worth Rs 250.55 billion to clean Godavari river ahead of the Simhastha Kumbh Mela 2027. Further, a real-time project management system will be developed for enhanced transparency and project monitoring.
In addition to this, third-party audits will be undertaken by national and international agencies while the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay will examine the quality of work under various initiatives.
