Refurbished T2 at Delhi airport inaugurated

The newly refurbished Terminal 2 (T2) at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi was inaugurated on October 25, 2025.

The terminal was earlier shut for renovations in April 2025. The terminal features state-of-the-art facilities including Digi Yatra, self-baggage drop, and virtual information desks. It also features six new passenger boarding bridges enabling faster passenger boarding.

The move is further expected to strengthen Delhi’s position as a premier domestic and international transit hub. Air India and IndiGo would operate around 120 domestic flights a day in total from the new terminal.

With this, all three terminals of the airport are now operational, taking the total passenger handling capacity to more than 100 million passengers per annum (mppa).
