IndiGo signs contract with Airbus for 30 additional A350-900 aircraft

IndiGo signed a contract with Airbus on October 17, 2025 to convert 30 of its purchase rights for 70 Airbus A350-900 aircraft into firm orders, doubling its total wide-body order from 30 to 60 aircraft.

The agreement follows a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed for these 30 aircraft in June 2025. With this expansion, IndiGo reinforces its partnership with Airbus and advances its long-haul ambitions.

The A350-900 aircraft will be powered by Rolls-Royce’s Trent XWB engines and will offer exceptional fuel efficiency and operational flexibility.

IndiGo plans to use the new fleet to expand its network and add more long-haul destinations.
