The second Vande Bharat Sleeper train, manufactured by Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML), has reached the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai. The train will now undergo oscillation and speed trials, which will be conducted under the supervision of the Research Design and Standards Organisation (RDSO) in the North Western Railway (NWR) zone. This marks the second rake out of a total of 10 rakes to be delivered by BEML to Indian Railways (IR).
Besides, the remaining rakes are likely to be delivered by March 2025, while all eight remaining Vande Bharat Sleeper trains are expected to be delivered by March 2026.
