Powergrid secures bid for ISTS project for pumped storage evacuation in Uttar Pradesh

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) has secured the bid for the transmission system to evacuate power from pumped storage projects in Sonbhadra district, Uttar Pradesh. The project was awarded to POWERGRID on a build-own-operate-transfer basis and involves the establishment of a new 765/400 kV pooling substation, bay extension works at other upcoming substations and 765 kV transmission line works.
