IR has inaugurated the first Joint Parcel Product-Rapid Cargo Service (JPP-RCS) train, connecting Budgam in Kashmir to Adarsh Nagar in Delhi. The train was flagged off from Nowgam railway station and consists of eight parcel vans, with a scheduled stoppage at Bari Brahmana in Jammu. It is a time tabled daily service and will reach Delhi the day after departure.
