The Fast Track Immigration – Trusted Traveller Program was inaugurated at five airports, namely, Lucknow, Thiruvananthapuram, Kozhikode, Tiruchirappalli and Amritsar, on September 11, 2025. This has taken the total coverage to 13 airports nationwide. The program uses a biometric e-gate system that enables faster immigration clearance for pre-verified Indian citizens and Overseas Citizen of India cardholders. The initiative aims to cover 21 major airports, enhancing passenger convenience and streamlining international travel with seamless, automated immigration clearance.
