The government of Bihar (GoB) inaugurated the 3.6 km Inter State Bus Terminal (ISBT) Depot-Bhootnath stretch under the Patna Metro Rail Phase I Project on October 6, 2025.
Besides, it also laid the foundation stone for the construction of the underground line (metro stations and tunnels) from Rukanpura to Patna Junction.
The phase I of the project involves the development of a 32.5 km long metro rail network in Patna, Bihar at an estimated cost of Rs 139.25 billion. It involves the development of two corridors, viz. Corridor 1 (Danapur Cantt-Mithapur) and Corridor 2 (Patna Junction-Patna ISBT).
