Prime Minister inaugurates 2,800 MW MBRAPP in Rajasthan

The Prime Minister has inaugurated the 2,800 MW Mahi Banswara Rajasthan Atomic Power Project (MBRAPP), being developed by NTPC Limited and Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) through their joint venture Anushakti Vidhyut Nigam Limited.

The Rs 420 billion project will be one of India’s largest nuclear plants and is designed to provide reliable base load power. NPCIL holds 51 per cent stake in the joint ventures, with NTPC holding the remaining 49 per cent. The two partners will jointly contribute financial, technical, and project management expertise. The nuclear project was launched alongside other energy projects in Rajasthan, with a combined investment exceeding Rs 510 billion.
