The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) approved the Tilaiya-Rajgir-Bakhtiyarpur Rail Line Doubling Project in Bihar.
The project involves doubling of an existing 104 km long railway line from Tilaiya to Bakhtiyarpur via Rajgir at an estimated cost of Rs 21.92 billion in Bihar. It provides rail connectivity to prominent destinations such as Rajgir (Shanti Stupa), Nalanda, Pawapuri, etc.
